🔹The Urology Department at the University Hospital Frankfurt am Main is led by Prof. Dr. Felix Kyoung-Hwan Chun.
🔹He is mainly interested in fixing problems with the urethra, using lasers to treat enlarged prostates, and helping with cancer in the urinary system, especially in the prostate.
🔹He knows a lot about a special surgery machine called da Vinci, which is very good for small and gentle surgeries. Before working in Frankfurt, he used to be a top doctor in the Urology Department at the University Hospital Hamburg-Eppendorf. He's won awards for his scientific work.
🔹Prof. Dr. med. Felix Chun was born on December 6, 1972, He completed his school education and medical studies in Göttingen and Freiburg.
🔹He underwent his specialist training in urology with a focus on uro-oncology and prostate cancer at the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf. In 2005-2006, Prof. Chun spent a research fellowship year in Montreal, Canada.
🔹He completed his habilitation in 2009 and was awarded the associate professorship in the field of urology at the University of Hamburg in 2014.
🔹Prof. Chun's clinical and research interests primarily revolve around minimally invasive surgery, including robotic surgery.
🔹In addition to his medical specializations, he pursued a part-time study in health sciences at the University of Bielefeld, earning a "Master of Arts" (M.A.) degree.
🔹Since November 1, 2017, he has served as the Director of the Department of Urology at the University Hospital Frankfurt.
🔹He is also a member of all relevant national and international urological professional associations and has authored over 200 scientific original articles listed on PubMed.
