🔹After completing a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Medicine at the University of Leuven, Dr. Nelis underwent his ophthalmology training at the University Hospital in Münster, where he also obtained his doctoral degree. He then pursued a Master's degree in Business Administration and continued his specialization in ophthalmology at the Westfälische Wilhelms-University in Münster.
🔹He worked as a specialist in ophthalmology at the University Hospital Brussels. Following a period at the University Hospital Cologne, where he completed a fellowship in the field of glaucoma, he returned to Brussels and served as a senior physician specializing in glaucoma surgery, cataract surgery, and retinal disorders, including age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and central serous chorioretinopathy.

🔹Dr. Nelis started his learning path in medicine at the Catholic University of
Leuven. He got his medical degree there, which gave him the basics for his
career in eye care.
Becomes an Eye Doctor:
🔹After getting his medical degree, Dr. Nelis wanted to specialize in eye
medicine, something he loved. He learned more about it at the University
Hospital Muenster. He also got an MBA from the University of Muenster to
improve his skills in eye care and business.
Studies Glaucoma:
🔹Later, he studied glaucoma treatment at the University Hospital Cologne with a
special scholarship. This is a big deal in eye medicine. Dr. Nelis really cares
about learning and helping his patients.

🔹Throughout his career, Dr. Nelis showed he's a great leader and cares about
making eye medicine better. He worked as a Senior Physician in the Department
of Ophthalmology at the University Hospital Brussels. This helped him take care
of patients and do what he loves.
