🔹After completing his high school diploma in Paderborn in 1989, Georg Gahn began studying medicine at the University of Würzburg. During his studies, he undertook study visits to Louisiana State University Shreveport and the University of Rochester in the USA.

🔹In 1994, he obtained his doctoral degree at the University of Würzburg with a dissertation titled "Mutations in the H-2 complex: An attempt to isolate mutated T lymphocytes using magnetic cell separation.

🔹He worked as a medical intern at the Neurological University Hospital in Würzburg from 1993 to 1995 and subsequently held a Neurovascular Fellowship at the Massachusetts General Hospital of Harvard Medical School in Boston, USA, until 1996.

🔹In 1996, he transferred to the University Hospital of the TU Dresden, where he served as a resident physician at the Clinic and Polyclinic for Neurology until 1999 and then at the Clinic for Psychiatry until 2000.

🔹In 2000, he was recognized as a specialist in neurology and was appointed as a senior physician (Oberarzt) at the Clinic and Polyclinic for Neurology at the University Hospital Dresden.

🔹In April 2003, Gahn completed his habilitation with the thesis "Transcranial Color-Coded Duplex Sonography in Cerebrovascular Diseases" at the Medical Faculty of the TU Dresden, concurrently earning the title of Privatdozent.

🔹He then pursued further training in specialized neurological intensive care and clinical geriatrics. In July 2003, he was appointed as the deputy director of the Clinic for Neurology. In 2007, he completed a three-year MBA program in Health Care Management at Dresden International University.

🔹Since June 1, 2008, Georg Gahn has been the director of the Clinic for Neurology at Städtisches Klinikum Karlsruhe GmbH and was appointed as an associate professor (apl. Professor) at the TU Dresden on July 4, 2008.
