🔹Prof. Dr. med. Rainer Duchmann has held the position of Chief Medical Officer at the Hospital zum Heiligen Geist since June 2012. He served as the Chief Physician of the Medical Clinic at the same hospital starting in 2007, specializing in Rheumatology during that year. He also became an Immunologist recognized by the German Society for Immunology (DGfI) in 2007. 🔹Earlier in his career, he served as a Senior Resident at the General Internal First Aid and Admission Station and the Visceral Medicine Center at Campus Benjamin Franklin, Charité-Universitätsmedizin Berlin from 2004 to 2007. He began his medical journey as a Junior Resident in Medical Clinic I at the same institution in 2001, working under the guidance of Prof. Dr. M. Zeitz and specializing in Gastroenterology in 2000.
🔹Additionally, Dr. Duchmann specialized in Radiation Protection with a focus on Abdominal X-ray Diagnostics in 2000 and in Laboratory Investigations in Internal Medicine (Part I and II) in the same year. He also held positions as a Junior Resident in Internal Medicine II at Saarland University Hospitals, Homburg/Saar from 1998 to 2000, where he specialized in Sigmoid Colonoscopy in 1998.
