🔹Prof. Dr. med. Reinhard Lüthen's impressive journey in medicine and academia began in 1977 when he started his medical studies at the University of Düsseldorf. After transferring to Julius-Maximilian University of Würzburg in 1980, he excelled in his studies, culminating in a stellar medical examination in 1984 and the acquisition of his medical license from the same institution.
🔹In the same year, he achieved his doctorate with the highest academic distinction, magna cum laude, further solidifying his scholarly prowess. His professional journey included serving as a Medical Officer in the German Armed Forces and as a Resident Physician at Bethesda Hospital Mönchengladbach, specializing in Internal Medicine. From 1987 to 1991, he continued his residency in the Department of Gastroenterology at the Medical Institutions of Heinrich-Heine University Düsseldorf.
🔹He also pursued a DFG Fellowship in the USA, conducting postdoctoral research at the University of California and the Veterans Administration Medical Center, San Francisco.
