🔹Prof. Dr. med. Robert Krempien is a specialist in radiation therapy and has been leading one of the best-equipped radiation therapy clinics in Germany since 2007.
🔹With state-of-the-art radiation equipment, he can offer radio-oncological therapies to patients with various types of tumor diseases.
🔹Over his many years at Helios Klinikum Berlin Buch, he has introduced numerous new treatment techniques such as Intensity-Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT), Image-Guided Radiation Therapy (IGRT), Tomotherapy, Stereotaxis, extra- and intracranial radio surgery, Intraoperative Radiotherapy (IORT), and hyperthermia.
🔹In addition to radiation therapy and radio-oncology, his work as the Chief Physician in the Department of Radiation Therapy also focuses on the interdisciplinary treatment of cancer patients.
🔹As an integral part of the Oncological Center Berlin Buch, radiation therapy is integrated into all stages of cancer treatment.
🔹Prof. Krempien's scientific work has centered on improving therapy through high-precision radiation therapy, integrating modern imaging diagnostics (e.g., MRI and PET-CT) into radiation therapy, and providing interdisciplinary care to cancer patients (e.g., combining radiation therapy with chemotherapy and hyperthermia or surgery with intraoperative radiation therapy).
🔹Through his research activities and international networking, Prof. Krempien continually brings the latest scientific insights to benefit his patients, with the goal of improving cure rates with fewer side effects.
