🔹Prof. Dr. med. Thomas Seufferlein's impressive career in medicine and academia is marked by significant achievements and dedication. His journey began with the completion of military service as a medical intern, where he served at the Sanitätszentrum 612 in Munich and the Institute for Pharmacology and Toxicology of the Bundeswehr in Munich from 1989 to 1990. He then embarked on his research path, working as a Research Assistant in the Medical Clinic at the Freie Universität Berlin, focusing on Endocrinology and Diabetology, under the guidance of Prof. Dr. H.-J. Quabbe from 1990 to 1993.

🔹His international experience was broadened as he became a DFG Fellow at the Imperial Cancer Research Fund in London, UK, working in the Growth Regulation Laboratory under Dr. E. Rozengurt from 1993 to 1996. Prof. Seufferlein's career transitioned into Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology as he began his training in these fields and assumed the role of the Head of the Laboratory for Gastrointestinal Growth Regulation at the University Hospital Ulm in June 1996.
