🔹Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Rottbauer, who most recently served as the Deputy Medical Director of Medical Clinic III at the University Hospital Heidelberg and currently serving as the Medical Director at the University Hospital Ulm, brings extensive experience across the entire spectrum of cardiology, angiology, and pneumology.
🔹Professor Rottbauer is a recognized specialist in the emergency care of heart patients and innovative procedures in interventional cardiology and angiology. Heart conditions can either manifest gradually or lead directly to emergency situations.
🔹As the head of the cardiological and pneumological intensive care units and the cardiac catheterization labs, he gained years of experience in the treatment of patients with severe heart attacks, pulmonary embolisms, or shock states in Heidelberg.
🔹We will further enhance the emergency care for patients with chest pain in the Ulm region and establish a Chest Pain Unit at the Center for Internal Medicine, which will coordinate a heart attack network in collaboration with other clinics and local colleagues," Rottbauer, who has previously worked in Heidelberg, Lübeck, and at Harvard Medical School in Boston, envisions for the future.
