🔹Prof. Dr. med. Alfred Königsrainer's educational journey began at J. Staffler Primary School in St. Leonhard Passeier, South Tyrol, followed by A. Stifter Middle School in Bolzano, South Tyrol. He completed his high school education at the Scientific Gymnasium-Lyceum Bolzano, earning his High School Diploma in July 1974. His academic achievements included the habilitation he completed on December 9, 1991, in General Surgery at the University Clinic for Surgery in Innsbruck. The focus of his habilitation thesis was on "Experimental and Clinical Investigations on the Immunological Monitoring of Pancreas Allotransplants." As of March 31, 2004, Prof. Dr. med. Alfred Königsrainer held the position of Deputy Head of the Clinical Department for General and Transplant Surgery at the University Clinic for Surgery in Innsbruck, where Prof. Dr. R. Margreiter served as the Head.
