🔹Prof. Dr. med. Ayman Agha has had a distinguished career in surgery, marked by significant achievements and contributions. In 1997, he earned his Ph.D. with a thesis on therapeutic plasma exchange's impact on patients with acute necrotizing pancreatitis. He then gained expertise in laparoscopic surgery through internships and training in 1998. Since 1998, Dr. Agha has played a pivotal role in advancing advanced laparoscopic surgical procedures, particularly in colorectal surgery.

🔹He conducted a prospective study on rectal cancer treatments from 1996 to 1999. His dedication continued with innovative minimally invasive procedures for ulcerative colitis and adrenal tumors since 2002 and 2003, respectively. He introduced video-assisted techniques for thyroid and parathyroid diseases in 2002 and became the Head of Minimally Invasive Surgery in 2004. Dr. Agha's contributions to laparoscopic surgery continued with new techniques in 2005. He actively shared his knowledge through workshops and international laparoscopic congresses.

🔹In 2008, he achieved Habilitation with a thesis on laparoscopic rectal resection. In 2011, he became the Coordinator of the Colorectal Cancer Center Regensburg and a Senior Resident Physician at the Clinic and Polyclinic for Surgery. In 2012, he received an Extraordinary Professorship and served as the Congress President of the Surgical Working Group for Endocrine Surgery. He later became the Head and Deputy Director of the Clinic and Polyclinic for Surgery in 2012. Since March 2014, Dr. Agha has held the prestigious position of Chief Physician at München Klinik for General, Vascular, and Thoracic Surgery, marking a significant milestone in his medical career.
