🔹Prof. Dr. med. Volkmar Falk, He pursued his education at the University of Bonn from 1986 to 1992, completing a degree in human medicine, followed by a PhD. In 1998, he achieved the status of a specialist in cardiac surgery.
🔹From 1999 to 2000, he worked as a postdoctoral research fellow in the Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery at Stanford University in Palo Alto, USA. During the years 2003 to 2006, he held the positions of senior doctor and head of the Heart Surgery Clinic at the University Hospital in Leipzig.
🔹From 2009 to 2014, he was appointed as the Director of the Cardiovascular Surgery Clinic at the University Hospital Zurich, simultaneously serving as a professor of cardiac surgery at the University of Zurich.
🔹Since 2014, Prof. Dr. med. Volkmar Falk has been serving as the Medical Director of the DHZB (German Heart Center Berlin) and as the director of the Department of Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery. Additionally, he holds the position of professor at the Department of Vascular Surgery at the Charité.
