The
Charité University Hospital in Berlin is a very famous and big hospital in
Europe. It's connected to two universities in Berlin. It started in 1710 and is
one of Germany's top hospitals for research. A magazine called Focus said it's
the best hospital out of more than 1000 in Germany.
In 2010, the hospital
turned 300 years old. In 2019 and 2020, a magazine called Newsweek said it's
the fifth-best hospital in the world and the best in Europe.
This hospital is also part of some research groups. It sees a lot of patients - more than any other university hospital in Germany. In the years 2012 to 2020, more than half of all the Nobel Prizes in Germany went to people who worked there.
