🔹In 1980, he achieved his Doctoral degree from the University of Kiel and subsequently held the position of Senior Physician at the Clinic for Radiooncology within the West German Cancer Center at the University Hospital Essen.
🔹His academic accomplishments continued as he obtained his Habilitation in Radiooncology at the University of Essen in 1990.
🔹Since 1993, he has served as the Director of the Clinic for Radiooncology and Radiation Therapy at Charité, assuming the role of Specialist Director for the two radiooncological Medical Care Centers (MVZs) located at Charité Virchow Hospital and Campus Mitte.
