🔹Prof. Dr. med. Hans-Joachim Schäfers is a distinguished medical professional who, after completing his medical studies at the University of Essen/GHS in 1982 and gaining valuable experience during a Clinical Fellowship at the University of Toronto from 1987 to 1988, went on to become a Senior Physician in the Department of Heart, Thoracic, and Vascular Surgery at the Medical School of Hannover from 1990 to 1995.
🔹In 1992, he achieved the significant milestone of Habilitation. Since 1996, he has held the esteemed position of Full Professor and Director of the Department of Heart, Thoracic, and Vascular Surgery at the University Hospitals of Saarland in Homburg/Saar.
